San Andreas is just plain better than Vice City, SnB. the target system works better, there's even more weapons... right now i'm doing nothing but fighting turf wars. and the best part about the turf wars.... NO COPS!!! unless you shoot a cop during a turf war, you won't get a wanted level.
this truly is one of the best games i've ever played.

Thanks Bio...That's encouraging. I played Vice City last weekend for the first time in a year and a half and the $#@! game froze on me after an hour. I hope GTA:SA is better...I read where you can swim too now!
...And Columbia House just shipped San Andreas AND Ace Combat 5 to me...so I'm in trouble timewise...
BTW: Is Battlefront any decent OFF-line?

yeah, swimming's a handy little trick...
i'm still fighting my turf wars... got my ass handed to me in the last one, my SMG ran outta ammo in the middle of the fight and left me with a slow-ass shotgun... one shot kill, but when you've got 5 guys with uzis and a hardon to make you dead....
another cool thing is that your ability to ride bikes/motorcycles, drive cars, and shoot various types of weapons actually improves the more you do it. so when you first get an AK47, you have a lot of trouble with it, but if you use it alot (which, trust me, you WILL get the chance to), you'll actually become a better shot, reload faster, and gain the ability to move while you shoot.

I read in EGM that you have to feed him, but not too much or he gets paunchy.
And you have to keep clean, well fed, and have a good haircut and suit to get respect. Apparently how you take care of yourself determines how other characters react to you, and possibly affect the game's outcome?

.I also read that you leave a city a nobody, but then return later in the game as a big shot and then it seems like a whole different city to you.
i picked it up tuesday but i havent even popped it in yet. i dont have any time right now to put into it and i know from playing the other ones once i start i just keep playing. this weekend im sure ill hit it hard.
Yeah it's not really a game to just pop in for 15 minutes. Hell it takes a while just to set up for any particular mission! (Get your proper guns, recharge health, learn the route, get the right car....ugh)
I love how the manuals say to take a break every 15 minutes....Yeah right...it takes that long just to get warmed up in ANY game!
